How to Pray for a Growing Ministry Without a Permanent Home

Some ministry needs are urgent and visible. Others are steady and ongoing, easy to overlook simply because they have existed for a while. Our May 2025 update, Please Pray for Covenant International Ministries, named one of these ongoing needs directly: our youth meetings are still held in a home weekly, and a facility is still needed.

Use the following guide to pray specifically for this need over the course of a week.

Monday — pray for patience

Waiting for the right space, at the right time, requires patience that is not always easy to sustain. Pray for the endurance to continue faithfully while a longer-term answer is still unfolding.

Prayer. Father, give patience to those waiting for a permanent space to serve in. Help them trust Your timing even when the wait continues.

Tuesday — pray for provision

Paul tells the Philippian church that God will meet their needs according to His riches (Philippians 4:19). We bring this ministry's need for a permanent facility before God, trusting Him with the outcome and the timing.

Prayer. Lord, provide for this need in Your way and in Your timing. Help us trust You with what we cannot yet see.

Wednesday — pray for the families who open their homes

Weekly gatherings continue because families make room in their own homes. Pray for their hospitality and for the flexibility this commitment requires week after week.

Prayer. Father, bless the families who open their homes for this ministry. Give them strength and joy in this ongoing commitment.

Thursday — pray for the young people who keep showing up

Consistency matters as much for those attending as for those leading. Pray for the youth who continue coming back each week, even in a setting that changes as needs change.

Prayer. Lord, help the young people in this ministry stay committed to learning and growing. Give them a sense of belonging wherever they meet.

Friday — pray for wisdom in decisions ahead

Any future decision about a permanent space will involve real tradeoffs — cost, location, timing. Pray for discernment for those making these decisions.

Prayer. Father, give wisdom to those weighing decisions about a future space. Help them see clearly and choose well.

Saturday — pray for the leaders carrying this forward

Leading a ministry without a permanent home takes a particular kind of steadiness. Pray for the team's endurance and their continued sense of purpose.

Prayer. Lord, strengthen the leaders who carry this work forward. Renew their sense of purpose, especially on demanding weeks.

Sunday — give thanks for what continues

Despite the ongoing need, weekly discipleship has not stopped. Give thanks for what is already happening, and pray for continued faithfulness going forward.

Prayer. Father, thank You for the discipleship that continues even without a permanent space. Help us stay faithful to what You have already provided.
